Job Summary

This position reports to Director Energy Operation and Cleantech – APAC and supports delivery of Equinix Global Energy and Sustainability strategy in APAC. You will be part of the team leading the Equinix Energy Procurement and Sustainability program, working globally with other project teams and stakeholders to provide strategic support and leadership.

The role requires heavy collaboration with teams and consultants across various countries and time zones, including occasional travel (10-20% of the time) and domestic and international assignments. The hiring is open to Australia (Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane) or Singapore.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage day-to-day program and project activities for key energy and renewable energy workstreams, focusing on offsite PPAs, onsite PPAs, environmental commodities (RECs, GOs, etc.) and distributed energy technologies (fuel cells, batteries, etc.)
  2. Provide analytical support in assessing renewable energy PPA opportunities across the region, including market analysis of sustainability products to meet global goals
  3. Negotiate complex and high-value renewable energy PPAs with internal and external counsel support
  4. Develop marketing material and presentations for distribution to internal sales teams, executive leadership, and customers
  5. Support the development and management of renewable energy procurement strategy to align with overall long-term corporate sustainability objectives

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline required
  2. 7+ years of experience in renewable energy, preferably in procurement, origination, or project management
  3. Knowledge of offsite and onsite PPAs, environmental commodities, carbon offsets, batteries, and fuel cells
  4. Familiarity with Power Purchasing Agreements (PPAs) in APAC, including financial modelling & analysis of PPAs
  5. Experience negotiating complex agreements with internal and external legal counsel
  6. Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with local and international teams within the company
