Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader to lead our Trust in its exciting next phase of growth. As Community Development Director - Not for Profit, you will deliver transformative impact across the Timaru, Ashburton, Mackenzie, and Waimate districts.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging community groups and understanding their core needs
  • Cultivating and maintaining networks with similar purpose-led organizations throughout the region
  • Collaborating closely with Trustees to contribute to the expanding development and direction of our social and impact investing programme
  • Overseeing the financial, human resources, marketing, and administrative activities of a small but highly agile team
  • Managing our Geraldine Health Hub property and overseeing the running of Community House

You will be responsible for driving innovative profile-raising opportunities and being the public face of our organization. Your exceptional communication skills and strong commercial mindset are essential as you build credible, long-lasting relationships with a range of stakeholders and deliver positive impact in the community.

Salary and Benefits Package

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will enjoy a range of lifestyle benefits, including affordable housing, quality amenities, and access to excellent healthcare.
