We are seeking a self-sufficient and skilled CNC Tech Lead to run 2nd shift operations with minimal supervision.
This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual who can independently operate and maintain CNC machines, manage production tasks, and collaborate with assemblers to ensure workflow efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Operate, set up, and maintain CNC machines independently during 2nd shift.Collaborate with two assemblers to coordinate workflow and ensure smooth production.Monitor and inspect parts to meet quality and production standards.Adjust CNC programs, tooling, and machine settings as needed to optimize efficiency.Identify and troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and process inefficiencies.Maintain accurate production logs and documentation.Communicate effectively with 1st shift supervisors, engineers, and maintenance teams regarding any production or machine issues.Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or CNC coursework preferred.5+ years of CNC machining experience, including setup and troubleshooting.Ability to work independently and manage production without direct supervision.Strong knowledge of CNC machine operation, tooling, and basic programming adjustments.Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.Experience working alongside assembly teams in a production environment.Skilled in using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) for quality assurance.Ability to multitask, troubleshoot, and ensure quality standards are met.Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Willingness to work 2nd shift hours and take ownership of production responsibilities.Amphenol offers a competitive salary and benefits.
