We manage and develop facilities that enhance the quality of life for the people of Waitara and the North Taranaki district including the longstanding Waitara War Memorial Hall and our flagship site, Whai Tapuwae No Rongo.Position Overview:We are looking for a passionate and community-focused Programme Coordinator to drive the use of NTSRINC facilities and develop engaging sports, recreation, and cultural programs. The Programme Coordinator will play a key role in shaping the future of our community by creating opportunities for participation and ensuring that our programs are inclusive and accessible to all.Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and manage a variety of sports, recreation, cultural, and community programs.Collaborate with sports organisations and community groups to bring events and activities to our facilities.Build strong relationships with schools, clubs, and community stakeholders to maximise facility usage.Organise promotional activities and community events to raise awareness and drive participation.Monitor and evaluate programs, ensuring continuous improvement and community engagement.Coordinate facility bookings and manage schedules to maximise usage and meet community needs.Skills & Qualifications:Tertiary qualification in Sports Management, Event Management, or a related field ideal (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education).Experience in program development, community engagement, and event management.Strong organisational and time-management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience with budgeting and reporting.Personal Attributes:Passionate about community well-being and promoting active, healthy lifestyles.Creative and innovative, with a focus on developing programs that resonate with diverse groups.Adaptable and responsive to changing community needs.Why Join Us?Competitive remuneration package.Opportunity to positively impact the North Taranaki community.Be part of a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to enhancing local sports and recreation opportunities.How to Apply:Submit your application, including your resume, cover letter, and 2 x work references to ****** (please put PROGRAMME COORDINATOR in the subject line).Applications close Tuesday December 10th 2024.Be part of something exciting—help shape the future of community sports and recreation in Waitara and the surrounding North Taranaki district.
