Healthy Homes Project Administrator (Fixed Term)Habitat for Humanity (Northern Region - Auckland and Northland) is the largest of Habitat for Humanity International's Affiliates operating in New Zealand.
Habitat delivers a range of housing related services that include the development of new supply affordable housing, management of leased housing, home repair services, healthy home related government service contracts and eight charity ReStores in Auckland and Northland.The RoleHabitat for Humanity Charity- Northern RegionHours: Full time 40 Hours per week, Fixed term for 12 MonthsThe purpose of this position is to provide project administration support to the Housing Adequacy Team across Tamaki Makaurau/Auckland, supporting the team managers, leads and supervisors to manage the consistent flow of referrals.
The position will perform a key role in ensuring jobs are completed to time and to budget.
This role extends to supporting the wider delivery of the Healthy Homes Programme including Winter Warmer Packs, curtain installations, interventions, and co-ordinating minor repairs to support a warmer, drier home and reducing negative health impacts associated with cold and damp housing.Specific Duties:Receive and process referrals in a timely manner.Establish and build strong relationships with whanau/aiga including resolving any issues.Liaise and engage with landlords/property managers.Calendar and diary management, including both Habitat staff and external contractors.Data entry, ensuring all information is collected in the appropriate fields.Effectively track and monitor timeframes and provide updates to the team on job progress.Attend regional and national meetings, conferences and hui's as appropriate.Work collaboratively with contractors and build good relationships with stakeholders.Attend Industry training as required.Promote the service as required (presentations, videos, etc).Have a basic understanding of legislations related to housing.Understand industry standards and AS/NZ standards where necessary.Be an advocate for Healthy Homes and Curtains.Understand and ensure teams compliance with all company health and safety policies and procedures.Key Skills and Experience:1+ years relevant experience working administrative support in the housing, charity or health sectors.Highly organised with an eye for detail.Ability to multi-task and work autonomously.Excellent communication skills (written and oral).Ability to work within and communicate effectively with a range of cultures, particularly Maori and Pasifika.Competent in MS Office suite (in particular Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint).Competent in Salesforce or other similar CRM system.Proven ability to build and maintain key stakeholder relationships.A genuine interest in social causes and alignment to Habitat's mission and values.Applicants must have NZ citizenship, NZ residency or hold a valid long term work visa (at least 3 years).Only those invited for an interview will be contacted.
