We're seeking a commercial, dynamic, and experienced Head of Sales to help grow our international business and lead our current sales team. Established in 2005, Ashley & Co is a proud New Zealand business celebrated globally for infusing everyday life with fragrance-driven experiences. As the Head of Sales, you'll play an important role in identifying premium business opportunities in our international markets, particularly focusing on our expansion into the USA.The ideal candidate will be expected to be strategic, and with support from the board, you will drive and implement an effective and ambitious sales strategy to grow the business in North America. Currently, the business has a small presence in the USA, but with a targeted sales strategy, revenue is expected to increase significantly. We need a confident and effective communicator who can build strong, long-lasting, and genuine relationships with agencies in the USA, as well as current relationships in New Zealand, Australia, UK and SEA.It is crucial that we find someone who will bring creative, fresh ideas and truly ignite the brand's growth. We are searching for someone who understands how to drive growth in the premium consumables category and has experience in driving growth in retail channels.Ashley & Co is a premium brand that is proud of its New Zealand heritage, and we are ideally looking for someone who understands how to work within premium sales channels across high-end retail environments and premium hospitality. The business will expand into the USA through an agency model and rather than a distributor model.The ideal candidate will be commercially minded and ambitious, with a keen eye for detail and sound analytical acumen. You will take ownership of sales forecasting and budget setting in conjunction with the board and work closely with the marketing and operations teams to ensure products are delivered on time.You will be leading a team of three salespeople who are predominantly responsible for the growth of the business in New Zealand and Australia. Thus, we are searching for a leader who can effectively guide and motivate the team.We are looking for someone who fits with the culture of Ashley & Co, is comfortable working in a small business environment, and can add value across the business. The ideal candidate will be personable, driven, and motivated by results.The role will be based in Auckland and report to the board. There is an expectation of travel at least twice a year to the USA, as well as some domestic travel and occasional travel to Australia.This role represents a fantastic opportunity to join an amazing and proudly New Zealand-owned business with ambitious growth plans.
