Our Kawerau saw milling operation has 180+ employees andhas just completed a significant upgrade programme which demonstrates ourcommitment to the market. The site is ledby an exceptional Site Manager driving a performance-based environment and is committedto the site's success.

As the key financial person at the site, you will bepredominantly hands on to deliver to the site's needs, but you won't be on yourown as you will have guidance from the Head Office finance team.
This role plays an important part in the success of thesite through managing and controlling the accounting and administrativefunctions which includes:

Providing accurate and timely financialinformation and analysis to enable quality decision making, and recommendationsto improve operating efficiency and EBIT

Completing all month end and other cyclicalprocesses
Ensure internal stock controls and managementare in place, co-ordinating stock takes and reconciliation
Provide accurate product costing for accuratestock valuation
Provide financial coaching and guidance otherlead team members
Take a leadership role in developing andmaintaining a robust performance improvement programme
Coordinating the annual plan, ensuring its timelydelivery
Management of a small team
Experience and qualifications that would support yoursuccess include:

Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting

Chartered Accountant
ERP system (we use SAP)
Strong analytical skills
Ability to effectively influence across alllevels
Manufacturing experience, preferably in sawmillenvironment
Costing knowledge
