As they continue to expand, they're seeking skilled Power Technicians to maintain and repair their hydro generation assets in the picturesque town of Twizel.The Opportunity:As a Power Technician, you'll be a key player in the maintenance team, ensuring the smooth operation of critical hydro generation assets. Your responsibilities will include executing scheduled maintenance, responding swiftly to faults and emergencies, and supporting minor maintenance projects. You'll be on the frontline, where your expertise and attention to detail will ensure that all work is performed safely, accurately, and on time.What we're looking for:EWRB Registered - you must be a registered Electrical Worker.Experience in testing and commissioning modern generator electrical digital protection systems (e.g., Beckwith, SEL, or similar).Proficiency in testing HV generators, transformers, CTs, and VTs, including IR, Tan Delta, winding resistance, ratios, bushings, and Buchholz relays.A solid understanding of Governors and AVRs for maintenance and basic fault-finding.You're personable, with excellent communication abilities and a keen eye for detail.What's in it for You?Enhanced leave provisions: three company paid days (over the holiday period), enhanced parental leave and options to buy up to 12 days additional leave.Performance-incentive plus discounts from a number of partnerships, including discounts on your power bill.Take advantage of excellent career progression opportunities and ongoing training.Ready to Take the Next Step?
