He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is currently seeking a Quality Coordinator to join their team based at Whakatane Hospital. This is an exciting position where you will be working as part of the district's Health Quality & Safety Service (HQSS).
Our Quality Coordinators work with all our departments and services on their health quality and patient safety activities. This includes, but is not limited to, facilitating, and assisting with incident investigations, resolution of complaints, advising on improvement projects, and playing an active part in governance committees. This role focuses on community services and working with GP liaison services.
**Other responsibilities will include**:
Ensuring equity, in particular for Tangata Whenua, is at the forefront of quality, in a manner which integrates iwi understandings and aspirations.
Reporting into and supporting the Quality Systems Manager, HQSS to develop and implement an effective and equitable health quality and patient system for better health outcomes and patient experience.
Recognising individual responsibility for workplace Health and Safety under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
Establishing effective working relationships with a number of key stakeholders.
