Key day to day management of the procurement functions and SC team

**What will you be doing?**
Reporting to the CEO, you will lead a team of 8 to deliver the purchasing, planning and logistics functions, to ensure the delivery of all goods and services meet the optimal mix of cost, quality and delivery (DIFOTIS). You will spend time analysing performance, identifying opportunities and recommending solutions to their Business Analysts, Designers, Production Planners and Finance.

This will include:

- **Leadership**: Leading an aligned, high-performing, motivated team of people to achieve the desired outcomes of the department.
- **Planning**: Implementing and managing the SC standards and practices across the organization and to ensure an integrated approach to forecast and planning objectives.
- **Procurement**: Negotiation of supply contracts, manage the supplier review process, and minimize company risk through relationship management and forward planning.
- **Purchasing**: Overview responsibility for purchasing processes.
- **Logistics**: Ensure well-defined classification, an efficient measuring of processes and a practical tracking and reporting system.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Ensure SC function is working efficiently and effectively, establish a culture of best practice.

**What will you bring to the team?**
We need someone who can hit the ground running - so you’ve been in leadership roles before. A relevant tertiary qualification is expected, backed by at least 5 years suitable experience in a assembly based manufacturing environment within planning, logistics and purchasing functions.

In addition, we seek:

- Experience in leading a team and developing successful strategies across supply chain.
- Proven track record in managing contracts, strong commercial acumen.
- Advanced computer skills, using ERP systems.
- Demonstrable achievements as a driver of Operational Excellence.

You are a great problem solver and can make decisions under pressure. You can juggle multiple tasks and re-prioritise when the unexpected happens. Your written and verbal communications skills are second to none, and you have no problem liaising with people in all areas within the company. Finally you demonstrate a fit with my clients values and team.
