My client is a well-established and highly successful manufacturer and distributor of trade-quality steel and wire products, used in the domestic and international rural and construction sectors for over 20 years. With a reputation for being a market leader in their specialist sectors, they pride themselves on their commitment to being the best in their industry - offering clients a total solution tailored to any of their steel and fencing needs.

Together, we are looking to recruit a Territory Manager to service their lower North Island construction customers This role will be responsible for overseeing and leading all facets of business development, account management, and portfolio growth across this diverse region.

**About the role**:

- Managing the lower North Island Territory construction customers - including contractors, specifiers, and end users
- Managing all aspects of the territory, including orders, queries, pricing etc.
- Managing and developing the construction customer base
- Involvement in the full range of selling activities - key account management, new business development, and territory management
- Liaising with the customer service and distribution teams to ensure deliveries/delays are managed
- Responsible for the overall sales growth within the territory

**About you**:

- You possess the ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships, and enjoy being face to face
- You are familiar with the building materials or construction sectors (highly beneficial but not essential)
- You are a relationship-builder by nature, able to break down barriers with key decision-makers and influence outcomes
- You have a customer-centric approach and the ability to hunt and secure new business
