**Facilities Manager**

We are looking for a unique person, a creative individual who is born to lead and inspire their team, as this is not your average facilities role.

This is an opportunity to lead our Stadiums Portfolio which includes Mount Smart Stadium, Western Springs Stadium and North Harbour Stadium.

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for the delivery of both operational and strategic facilities management functions that ensure our facilities are compliant, safe, are fit for purpose and ‘event ready’, supporting both the centralised Property function and the local Venue Operations teams.

On a more strategic level you will provide key input and planning around the future requirements of your venues to ensure we have a planned forward renewals programme, we are responding to future demand and reducing our environmental footprint. You will also play a key role in shaping the long-term future of our Stadia.

The Facility Manager supports both the centralised Property function and the local Venue Operations teams and is responsible for relationship management and advice in relation to facilities. While your key purpose is to lead the delivery of facilities management & maintenance services, you will also be comfortable being involved in enhancing performance through strategic asset planning and helping to deliver incredible experiences for our patrons.

As part of a wider TAU Property team, you will report directly to the Head of Asset & Facility Services but operate in a matrix environment as a key member of the Auckland Stadiums operating and leadership teams.

Our unrivalled portfolio includes the Auckland Art Gallery, Aotea Centre, Town Hall, The Civic Theatre, Auckland Zoo, Viaduct Events Centre, The Cloud and the New Zealand Maritime Museum and you will work with your peers and the Property Leadership team to share information and shape our ways of working across the portfolio.

With a dedicated team of Facility Coordinators under your leadership, access to our centralised Maintenance team, and support from our wider Capital Projects and Asset Management teams, you will be directly responsible for ensuring our stadia are ready to welcome our customers, live Sports, world class Music and amazing Entertainment.

You’ll be experienced Facility Manager (ideally with stadium, arenas or large event venue experience) and be able to talk to the financial and asset planning aspects of the role, that includes managing systems and reporting.

You’ve be well versed in tools to do your job, the appropriate technology and methodologies and have an ability to bring any stakeholder along with you on this inspiring and exciting journey.

This is a permanent, fulltime opportunity, working 40 hours per week however the nature of the business is that our venues operate 24/7. As such, occasional out of hour’s response and attendance to support event delivery will be required.

**As guidance for applicants, we require one of the following**:

- A recognised Bachelor level Facilities Management qualification
- A recognised Project Management qualification
- Appropriate relevant experience
