Service Coordinator/ Administration - Community Nursing 1FTE
Te Mahi/About the Position
We are seeking an experienced administrator who has a passion for working with people and systems, to join our team in the key role of Service Coordinator.
This is a permanent full-time position based in our Christchurch office, working 80 hours per fortnight.
You will play a key role in the organisation, coordination, and scheduling of visits to our nursing teams supported by the Clinical Nurse Manager and Registered Nurse Coordinators and internal support services to provide a consistent and quality of service to ensure our clients receive coordinated care delivered to their homes our clinic spaces.
Key Aspects:
Proactively utilising the client management computer system, service coordinators will work as a team to ensure:
- visits are scheduled effectively and in line with service requirements.
- Management of queues and follow ups and nurse requests for all clinical services.
- an up-to-date and 'live' overview of service delivery is maintained at all times.
- effective and timely communication with our Clinical Nurse Manager and Registered Nurse Coordinators and clinical teams, including proactively responding to queries or concerns.
- Ability to work across services and have an excellent grasp of electronic patient managements systems and an excellent knowledge of our areas and suburbs across canterbury.
- Good demonstrable working knowledge of Office 365
Working with the Clinical Nurse Manager and Service Manager, the successful applicant will develop a great rapport with the clinical teams and be a part of Service Coordination Team to ensure that our clinical teams are supported to deliver excellent nursing care in the community and clinics.

To be successful in this role, you will have recent experience working with clinical teams and administration teams either in the healthcare sector, or in a role where you have used computer systems to allocate workloads, problem solve and think critically, whilst maintaining an exceptional level of customer service.
You will also have the following skills:
- Exceptional customer service, and a friendly and professional manner
- Patience, flexibility and a "can do" attitude in challenging situations.
- The ability to prioritise effectively and efficiently.
- A proactive and professional communication style
- An excellent knowledge of Christchurch, Waimakariri and Selwyn district suburbs.
- Systems orientation, with intermediate to advanced computer skills
