**Te āheinga: The opportunity**

As a Lecturer of Supported Learning, you'll provide exceptional teaching and learning to our students.

You're committed to helping our students prepare for finding, securing, and maintaining employment and/or skills for further study and to improving their personal skills. Your role will be in a teaching capacity.

Your inspirational teaching and contribution to programme development will drive continuous improvement and innovation, especially in student's literacy, numeracy, and computer skills.

You'll proactively engage in Treaty Based partnerships across the organisation, demonstrating your strong commitment to Tikanga and Mātauranga Maori.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

You'll have:

- An understanding or desire to learn te reo Māori, tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of kaupapa Māori
- Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments
- A creative educator with a history of providing high-quality educational experiences for supported learners.
- Currently working in the disability community and looking for a new opportunity to contribute to our students' lives.
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with various people, from academic staff, your stakeholders, and our students.
- Worked with students with learning disabilities: Intellectual disabilities, and/or supported learners.
- Relevant qualification and demonstrable teaching experience.
