Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and working in partnership with Westpac New Zealand’s (WNZL) Data and Cybersecurity teams, the Senior Compliance Manager - Privacy plays a critical role in supporting the CCO with leading the WNZL strategy for privacy and personal data protection to ensure WNZL’s effective management of customer personal information and compliance with global regulatory requirements.
This position is responsible for maintaining compliance practices while defining WNZL’s Privacy Programme and leading its implementation with internal business units.
The role includes the day-to-day leadership and management of the WNZL Privacy team, regulatory advocacy, policy definition, privacy risk management and WNZL-wide privacy management operations.
The Senior Compliance Manager - Privacy is also responsible for leading WNZL’s Privacy Practice Group, a distributed network of privacy professionals embedded in WNZL business and functional teams.
In this role we are looking for a leader with a strong understanding of compliance risk management within financial services organisations, global compliance best practice, and privacy management exposure who is a real team player. You must be an excellent communicator, with demonstrable experience in compliance and privacy management.
