**About this role**

We are currently on the lookout for someone to join our team as our **Senior Rangahau & Innovation Manager** on a **permanent **basis, with the flexibility to be based anywhere in Aotearoa.

You would be working in tandem with our existing Senior Rangahau & Innovation Manager. Their focus is on pre-award support for kaimahi at TWoA and your focus would be on post-award support for kaimahi at TWoA. However, you would do a bit of both where needed as we build up Rangahau at TWoA. As a new Centre, we are also in need of building new processes/systems to support contracting and financial accountability here at TWoA so an interest in supporting the set-up of these would be important.

The position represents TWoA at relevant hui internally and externally, leveraging existing networks, associations and relationships to further our efforts. The position is also responsible for the overall conduct of Rangahau at TWoA, and there is an opportunity for you to also be involved in undertaking your own research projects and contribute your disciplinary expertise.

**About you**

You will bring with you the following:

- A PHD in any discipline or equivalent expertise.
- A deep understanding of research system in Aotearoa NZ and the funding available to kairangahau.
- Experience With managing contracting and related process in relation to research
- Ability to build strong, credible relationships with key people.
- Strategic capability to develop and implement a research funding roadmap.
- Experience in monitoring and managing budgets, compliance and outcomes.

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
