**Tēnei tūranga - About the role**:
The Construction Sector Accord is on the search for a Senior Design Analyst. This is an important role within the Construction Sector Accord Transformation Programme. The Senior Design Analyst will work within the design and delivery team and work alongside Senior Advisors as part of a high functioning team with complementary skills. The role will provide service design services for potential and new Accord initiatives and in addition will develop policy, guidance, training and other interventions to make our work across the system more impactful.

We’d love to hear from you if you bring Senior Design Analyst level experience in one or more of the following: development of operational policy, design thinking, systems thinking, service design, project leadership, project management, implementation or advisory work.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Investigate the initial feasibility of Accord initiatives and projects by undertaking research, consultation and workshops with key stakeholders.
- Develop initial and final project scoping documents and plans (including potential measures of success and KPIs) to support the delivery of initiatives or projects.
- Run workshops with stakeholders representing different roles and perspectives across the construction sector to pressure test possible solutions and involve the industry in a ‘co-design’ process.
- Support the development of policy, guidance or other knowledge/information tools to support change initiatives/interventions for the sector.
- Develop guidance to support the sector to implement government policies within their construction projects.
- Work with the Senior Strategy Advisor to implement the overall framework of operational policy, guidance and capability development tools to ensure ease-of-use for the sector and the greatest possible impact from our interventions.

**Knowledge and experience required for this role**:

- Comparable experience in one or more of the following: development of operational policy, design thinking, systems thinking, service design, project leadership, project management, implementation or advisory work.
- Knowledge of the workings of the construction industry are advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of public sector requirements and processes, regulatory frameworks and levers and an understanding of the machinery of government would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated problem identification and solution development skills and an ability to develop robust solutions that are viable for government, technically possible and desirable for users and the community.
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective service delivery models and principles including technical expertise with tools and software, requirements gathering and documentation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills: demonstrated competence in effectively communicating complex ideas both orally and in writing to a wide variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and mentoring to other team members.
- Experience in project planning or management processes to lead and manage projects effectively.
- Excellent self-management skills.
- Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
