Ko tōu ake mahi - What You'll Do
The recently created COVID-19 Strategy, Legislation and Royal Commission Group supports the Royal Commission of Inquiry into COVID-19 Lessons to look back and learn from the COVID-19 response. We do this while also making progress on our own forward-looking work programme to develop the legislation and strategy needed to better equip New Zealand for future pandemics.
We are recruiting for Senior and Policy Analyst roles. In these roles you will be working across the health sector to respond to requests from the Royal Commission and ensure that the information we provide is accurate, helpful and consistent. You will be developing and updating our COVID-19 strategic framework, to ensure a consistent and proportionate response to COVID-19 and, increasingly, you will focus on preparedness and integrating the lessons from COVID-19 to build a more resilient health system.
You will also be contributing to, or leading, policy work on the future of our response to pandemics, including developing advice to Ministers and to Cabinet, designing future pandemic response legislation and, in due course, considering the Government's response to the Royal Commission of Inquiry.
This is a really great opportunity for us to identify lessons, including the successes and challenges along the way of our response to COVID-19, and to implement what we have learned for the future.
