**About our group | Mō te roopu**:
The People and Capability (P&C) group reports into the wider Corporate Services Group which works in close partnership with the wider business to lead, support, and enable the EPA to achieve its strategic intentions and effectively and efficiently deliver its core functions.

The purpose of the People and Capability Group is to deliver core people services to the EPA while we develop our people, capabilities and culture to enable our people and the organisation to thrive.

This includes:

- Leadership, learning and development initiatives
- Creating a diverse and inclusive environment that reflects New Zealand and our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Supporting our leaders to select, develop and manage high performing people
- Providing performance, reward and recognition frameworks and advice
- Ensuring our people and practices are safe
- Leading organisational and culture change

**About the role | Mō te tūnga**:
We are seeking a quality-focused coordinator to work closely alongside our P&C Partners and Advisors in everyday P&C activities. Your primary focus will be to provide high quality administrative support to our team with a positive and customer centric mindset.

You will understand the importance of the role P&C play within the business and exercise discretion with the information you are privy to. Strong attention to detail, written and oral communication skills and relationship management, will be essential to your success. This is a hands-on coordination role which includes but is not limited to:

- Processing and updating employee information within the P&C systems including HRIS, payroll, learning and health and safety systems;
- Responding to P&C queries from across the organisation
- Providing support for P&C activities including recruitment, reporting, employee induction, learning and health, safety and wellbeing and;
- Supporting people-related initiatives across the organisation, with other P&C team members.

**About you | Mōhou ake**:
It is essential that you bring a strong administrative background, perhaps supporting a busy GM or team. Your ability and confidence to work under pressure, manage priorities and achieve results within tight deadlines will not go unnoticed.

It would be ideal if you will have existing experience in HR, payroll, health and safety, or a related area but this is not essential. Experience in using HR information management systems would also be ideal.

Essential to your success will be:

- The ability to get stuck in and work collaboratively with a great team
- Systems experience (HRIS, payroll, Health & Safety)
- Experience working under pressure, setting priorities, and achieving results in tight deadlines
- Experience or understanding of health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace

It is desirable but not essential that you also have:

- Understanding of machinery of Government processes and systems
- HR or Health and Safety related tertiary qualification or working towards one

**Salary range**:
$64,430 - $96,646 per annum (midpoint $80,538)

This is the full salary range. Appointments are made within the range depending on skills and experience.
