**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
The Head of Organisational Culture and Development is a new national role and a core member of the P&C Leadership Team. People are at the heart of what we do here at Te Whatu Ora; and this role is vital in leading the development and implementation of the organisations cultural development, engagement and learning and development that together position our people, our organisation and our system to improve the delivery of health care to all New Zealanders.
**Mōu | About you**
We are looking for an influential HR professional with experience in implementing organisational development practices that enhance organisational effectiveness and foster a positive work culture. You will have overseen the development and implementation of comprehensive employee experience initiatives and engagement strategies in your previous roles. You will be able to share proven examples of how these have created an environment of open communication and active participation that drove enhanced performance and employee engagement.
You will bring with you the tools needed to successfully lead large diverse teams through change with you, achieving improved results while navigating a highly complex system. Your career has led you to have a sound understanding of learning and development programmes and the expertise to advise on the design of future management systems that align with the organisation's culture and development goals.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Demonstrable system-wide experience in leading and managing through transformational system change
- Demonstrable experience in leading and managing a HR or people and culture/capability workforce within an organisation where a high level of organisational acumen and political nous was required to create and deliver a strategic plan together with a multi-layered operating model
- Demonstrable experience successfully ensuring employee engagement through change and leading the cultural transformation of an organisation
- Significant experience at an executive level within large public facing multi-faceted or complex environments with multiple consumer and political interests and expectations
- Experience operating in a confidential/secure environment with access to sensitive information
- Proven experience in successfully developing and maintaining a structured approach to managing a wide range of stakeholder and professional relationships both internally and externally
- Proven experience successfully leading large diverse teams through change and achieving improved results while navigating a highly nuanced and complex system
