Te tūnga | The role
As a Training Facilitator, you will report to the Team Leader - Training. You are responsible for the delivery of multi-modal training across Collection Operations, and you will incorporate best practice training practices for face-to-face and online training into your work at Stats NZ. This will ensure that our Data Collection teams have the knowledge and skills required to collect quality data from our respondents.
You will work across Collection Operations with Managers, Leaders, teams, and Subject Matter Experts (SME). To be effective in this position you will have excellent communication and time management skills. You will also:

- Lead the training programme for the Data Collection unit within Collection Operations
- Build connections and work collaboratively
- Support service delivery by the Team

- Relevant tertiary qualification or extensive and comparable, relevant experience in workplace / Adult Education / training and documentation development
- 4-5 years' experience in a similar position preferred, particularly in training that covers large teams.
- Agile in thinking and working, comfortable working in both a non-structured and structured way.
- Able to professionally present sometimes complex information to a range of audiences both face to face and through online learning
- Demonstrates excellent presentation and facilitation skills including communicating effectively, using plain English, and being organised.
- Competent user of software (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Learning Management Software, mtasia, Articulate 360, Totara LMS, Mural and other relevant or similar technology
- Ability to travel at short notice nationwide.
- A flexible approach and ability to work independently.
- About your knowledge and experience, or willingness to learn about Te Tiriti, Tikanga, Te Reo and Te Ao Māori.
- Examples of key relationships you've built and how and why relationships are important.
- Where you've demonstrated customer centricity, collaborated with others and invited feedback, spent time with diverse people and communities to broaden your views.
