Whiti Ora is a well-established part of Ember Services Limited that delivers community based mental health programmes in the Auckland region. Providing a variety of skills-based programmes that promote life skills, community integration and preparation for employment.
The focus of our work is on the strengths of individuals which allow them to establish achievable goals that meet their needs and aspirations.
**Role | Nga mahi**
To develop and facilitate groups, and as required, provide one-on-one support, that assists an individual in their recovery from their experience of mental distress. The primary focus of this role is to encourage citizenship through: meaningful community engagement, education, employment, relationships, health and wellness. Using assessments and goal planning you will develop programmes and tailored support that meets the identified needs of individuals.
**You will | Nga Pukenga**
- Have/working towards a National Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent
- Have the ability to work in a team environment and from a bicultural perspective.
- Be professional and have good boundaries and ethics.
- Have experience working in the area of mental health
- Full NZ Drivers Licence
- Valid/Current work visa, residency, or citizenship
- Have a passion for walking along side those in need, supporting on-going goals on the pathway to recovery.
- Knowledge and interest in facilitating cultural programmes will be an advantage.
