Ko wai mātou | About us The Wellington Transport Alliance (WTA) is a partnership between Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Fulton Hogan and WSP. The WTA is responsible for managing the maintenance and operations programme for the state highways and roading networks of the Greater Wellington Region, and for delivering high service standards to the people and roading network of the region. Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Asset Managers to join the Wellington Transport Alliance, where you will have the opportunity to deliver on the annual plan and asset management functions in this newly created team. You will be well-versed in asset management, ideally with experience working on complex regional roading networks. You will have a minimum of five years' practical experience and have worked closely with operational managers, scoping and programming work activities. You will be motivated, driven and keen to progress your career through gaining experience working on our roading contract. Ideally, you will have demonstrable experience on similar projects with knowledge of highway corridor assets (streetlights, barriers, signs, vegetation, landscapes etc.). We in turn will provide you with the opportunity to gain a broad range of experience in Asset Management, including working in pavements and surfacing and non-critical assets. Ko koe tēnei | About you Ideally, you will bring significant and proven experience within the New Zealand roading industry specialising in asset management in the state highway and regional roading networks. However, asset management experience in other network types (power, telco, drainage, infrastructure) would be considered. You will:
- Hold a relevant tertiary level or technical qualification (preferred)
- Have knowledge of asset management/technical systems e.g. RAMM, Juno and Microsoft suite
- Be experienced in annual planning and forward works programming
- Be highly motivated and driven as you will be part of a high performing, collaborative team delivering projects across the network
- Have experience working with engineering consultants and contractors in a construction or maintenance setting
- Have strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage great relationships with the team, clients and stakeholders
- Bring strong financial acumen
