As part of a drive to grow gross margin we have a role for a Commercial and Pricing Specialist to join the team. This role will report to the National Pricing Manager and will be based in our National Head Office in Penrose, which is part of the wider Fletcher Building campus.The primary focus of this role is to turn ‘margin hustle’ opportunities (pricing, discounts, rebates, customer, product) into an operationalised best practice framework (toolkits, checklist, action points, measure, monitor) to grow gross margin.To achieve this, you will need to engage with the branch network (travel), identify and quantify areas of margin improvement through analysis, feedback and strategic thinking (hustle). Then consolidate learnings into a simple framework that can be rolled out across the business. To do this successfully you must be great at communicating, self motivated, highly curious, numeric and not afraid to fail.**About You**:
With proven experience as a Pricing or Commercial Analyst, you will have a high level of data analysis, problem solving and decision-making abilities. Technically savvy, you will be adept at picking up new systems and processes. One eye on the big picture and one on the detail, great time management and the ability to self-manage is a must.You will be a strong communicator, positive, motivated and keen to share your skills and experience to the wider team. Industry experience will be highly regarded.You will be a change agent during a time of significant transformation offering opportunities to deliver cost efficiency and optimise productivity ensuring customer expectations are met.
