As our **Pricing & Commercial Manager**, you will be first point of contact for ensuring all aspects of your assigned trades are carried out efficiently and profitably. You will manage pricing and allocation mix to optimise yield across our services. This role will span beyond ocean, with a focus on growing our landside door-to-door logistics capabilities to widen NPDL’s product catalogue to customers. You will take the lead in procuring rates, building NPDL’s service platform and driving increased door-to-door volumes. You will own the Less than Container Load product (LCL) and landside space while continuing to develop, strengthen the pricing strategy and expand our networks.

**What you will be doing**:

- Defining price structure, deciding on and disseminating prices
- Providing recommendations to ensure pricing strategy is optimised
- Monitoring price trends, other key indicators and ad hoc gathering of pricing information
- Day-to-day and tactical price analysis, modelling, and optimisation
- Pricing plan development and adjustments, as well as assessing the performance of business results against targets and reasons for deviations
- Landside/door-to-door/LCL product development, including rate procurement and vendor engagement
- Management of CargoWise workflows to drive business process automation

**Qualifications** Here’s what you’ll bring to the table**:

- A sound understanding of shipping/logistics price dynamics
- A minimum of two years of experience in freight forwarding and/or landside product management
- Experience in the Pacific Island trade would be advantageous
- Demonstrated record of effective business partnering through the provision of commercial analytics
- Experience with Cargowise would be a definite advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel) and PowerBI dashboards for performance management
- Proven leadership skills and ability to adapt style to suit a variety of cultures and working styles
- Ability to think strategically and execute with excellence.
- Strong analytical and process improvement skills
