Hygiene Services Coordinator

Auckland Zoo is recognised as one of the most progressive zoos in the world. A winner of national and international environmental-related awards, it is home to 135 different species and over 1400 animals.

This role is permanent, full-time, working 40 hours per week on a rostered basis including weekdays and weekends.

This role is responsible for the coordination of a range of services and support at the Zoo, including, but not limited to:

- Hygiene services and cleaning of customers and staff facilities
- Glass cleaning
- Waste processing for diversion and removal
- Events support
- PPE, cleaning, and hygiene consumables

This position is a hands-on role. Weekday and Weekend duties will be required on a rostered basis and this position will be required to work flexibly across other Department of Zoo Environment, Design & Construction teams

The nature of the business is that the venue operates 7 days a week. As such, occasional out of hour’s response and attendance will be necessary and required

You will have the experience to balance the day-to-day operational tasks along with leading your team of 6 Hygiene Contractors

In addition, you will have min 2 experience in cleaning operations or similar and have
- A NZ Full Driver Licence
- Ability to drive manual vehicles
- New Zealand Certificate in Cleaning or similar

This role is deemed a safety-sensitive position and will require pre-employment drug testing.

A high level of energy and physical fitness will enable you to meet the daily challenges of the role.

The salary range goes up to 62k per annum, depending on skill set and experience.
