Sourcing Specialist

Primary Responsibilities
Delivers an outstanding service to internal and external customers by;
- Identifying where essential information is missing and obtaining it before processing sales order
- Exercise independent judgement and decision making when sourcing, based on the best scenario available within the parameters of availability, cost and quality.
- Processing submissions and purchase orders accurately and within the required lead time
- Providing quotations and information as requested within the outlined SLA’s
- Negotiating the best price with our suppliers where needed
- Ensuring any change to ETA is updated as received into the system for full transparency
- Provides product ID support & coaching to the corporate and AD network as required.
- Prompt processing of returns to maximise the potential credit opportunity from suppliers
- Maintaining accurate and up to date records, and provide reports as required
Improve the availability, speed and cost of parts to the S&S and AD network by;
- Providing feedback to Planning and Product teams regarding potential non-stock or new parts that should be added to the standard company product range.
- Negotiating the best deal when purchasing parts; considering delivery times, quality, and cost.
- Proactively improve service, with a view to exceed key performance indicators and reduce rescheduling
- Contributing to the development of a preferred supplier database for outside purchases.
- Keeping procurement across supplier performance issues and fee changes or trends
- Developing and maintaining a technical product knowledge
- Contributing to the efficient running of Sourcing within Transactional Services, undertaking special projects as required to improve service
- Proactively raising trends in process breakdowns across the supply chain and contribute to the solution where possible.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must Have:
- 2 + years of procurement / sourcing related experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Ability to understand root cause of issues through data and work collaboratively on resolving with stakeholders across the business
- Experience in negotiating with suppliers and building constructive working relationships
- Experience working cross functionally, across multi sites, with a strong familiarity of complex supply chain.
- Curiosity to investigate trends, issues, and opportunities
- Clear and effective communication style both written and verbal
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving - the ability to make decisions with consideration to short
- and long-term trade offs
- Continuous Improvement Mindset
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Could have:
- Experience in purchasing of automotive parts
- Experience with D365 CRM and Iviis Systems
