
Procurement Specialist

This role will directly report to the Vice President for Human Resources and Recruitment.
**Job purpose**: To ensure that the companys materials and products meet all of their specifications. and to locate key suppliers and negotiate purchasing agreements with them on behalf of clients to get higher quality goods at the lowest prices possible.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Researching and identifying prospective suppliers
- Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations
- Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria
- Preparing proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and condition
- Preparing and issue purchase orders and agreements
- Monitoring supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
- Inspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items and resolve product issues
- Analyzing industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
- Responsible for purchasing goods and services for a company and managing contracts with vendors
- Managing the procurement of products and services
- Managing and maintaining contracts with vendors
- Negotiating and drafting contract terms and condition
- Ensuring compliance with all vendors
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- A bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong negotiation skills
- Highly developed attention to details
- Strong multitasking skills
- Excellent in verbal and written communication skills

- Applicants with at least 1 year of experience in procurement or similar role is preferred
- Working conditions: flexible time with weekend work depending on the workload
- Salary is negotiable dependending on experience
