Fire and Emergency New Zealand is a Crown Entity established on 1 July 2017 under the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Act 2017. The role of our new organisation is to reduce unwanted fires, respond to structural and vegetation fires and other emergencies including motor vehicle crashes, medical emergencies, hazardous substance related incidents and natural disasters, and to support increased community resilience.

**Mō tēnei tūranga - About the role**

The Data Integration Specialist will also support enterprise business intelligence and information processing such as data integration, reporting and analysis utilising tools such as Azure API Management, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services.

The salary range for this role is $100,736 - $111,929 depending on your skills and experience.

**Ko tāu nā ki tēnei tūranga - What you’ll bring to the role**

FENZ is on a journey to Cloud, and while the future goal is Cloud based services requiring Cloud based support, there is still a requirement for support of on-premises systems and databases. The role would be ideally suited to someone with the ability to maintain on-premises support but with a strong desire to develop their Cloud support skills and knowledge through mentoring, training, and hands on implementation of Cloud migration strategies.

**Essential Skills**:

- 2 - 3 years’ DBA experience is essential to maintain our current on-premises systems as we continue to build our cloud first strategy. Including support of SQL Server and services including SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Reporting Services, SQL cloud services and SQL Server Analysis Services and processes such as Extract Transform Load (ETL) Change Data Capture (CDC).
- Experience in maintaining Cognos Analytics systems.
- A willingness and ability to develop and learn quickly as we modernise and move our systems into the cloud, including supporting Azure SQL Server and Azure Managed Instances as well as Azure Virtual Machines.
- Integration skills for API development and support for Azure components such as APIM, ADF, Function Apps and Logic Apps.
- Proven data analysis, data integration and development skills using Microsoft technologies.

**Desirable Skills**:

- Good experience with Cloud computing technologies. Azure SQL, Azure Integration services, Data Factory and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience in other Development and Languages:.NET (C# & VB), Transact-SQL, JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), XML, JavaScript, PowerShell, HTML.
- Experience with Source Code Management software e.g., Azure DevOps Server, GitHub.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of Business Intelligence tools e.g., Microsoft BI Solutions, IBM BI solutions such as COGNOS and Planning Analytics, and Oracle BI solutions.
- Technical skills in data warehouse constructs, enterprise data management and enterprise data architecture.
- Experience in all aspects of enterprise business intelligence software, data warehousing and delivery of reporting services and solutions.
