**He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role**

The role of the Team Leader - Tenancy Management is to ensure optimum outcomes for people who access our housing services. This role is focused on leading a team of Tenancy Managers based in Rotorua and Hamilton who provide tenancy management services for transitional/emergency and social housing.

You will be developing strong relationships with other housing services and work effectively with other Team Leaders in planning and delivering high-quality housing service. You will be facilitating access to longer-term sustainable housing for the people who use our housing services.

You will also coordinate training and professional development for your team and lead the continuous improvement of relevant policies, processes, and practices.

This is a permanent full-time role and can be either based in Hamilton or Rotorua.

**He kōrero mōu | About You**

You'll be an experienced people leader with a background in social housing or tenancy management. To be successful, you will need to be a talented relationship builder with exceptional communication skills. Ideally, you will possess the following qualities:

- An unequivocal commitment to respecting the rights of and supporting those who are disadvantaged
- A willingness to develop, coach, and support staff to ensure their skill/knowledge base continues to grow
- Management experience of two years or more
- Attention to detail and a commitment to process improvement and good management practices
- A genuine commitment to our values and embracing our culture specifically our commitment to Māori and Pasifika
- Tertiary qualification in property, business, or social services would be an advantage.
- Expertise in planning, delivering, monitoring, reporting, and compliance
