He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role
This position is a great opportunity for a motivated professional to join and lead our Housing team. This team provides housing services to tenants who are experiencing homelessness or housing distress.


We are looking for an enthusiastic Team Leader who has a solid background in coaching and leading people to achieve success, is passionate about providing inspiring, hands-on leadership, and working with people who connect clients to support networks in the community and assisting them to reach their potential.


You will be overseeing service deliveries, working closely with the Ministry of Social Development, looking over Whaiora, and communicating with external and internal stakeholders.


This role will be focused on leading up to 10 team members, providing support to them, building their tenancy skills, and setting development goals with them.

The role is full-time Monday - Friday and is based in Hamilton.

It is essential that you have a minimum of two years of experience working in the health, social, or community housing sector, be familiar with community agencies, and have at least two years of people leadership experience.

If you also bring along the following, we would love to hear from you:

  • In-depth knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act
  • Experience working with clients who have high and complex needs
  • Good communications skills to effectively communicate with the people in the community, Kaimahi, Tangata Whaiora, and their Whānau
  • Strong people management skills and experience coaching kaimahi
  • A full New Zealand Driver's Licence and working rights in New Zealand
