**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The primary purpose of these role are to meet Te Whatu Ora's strategic and operational requirements for the products and services covered by the relevant Category Tower by developing, managing and delivering the required category strategies. In this role you will be responsible for leading a category portfolio and a team, ensuring the outcomes and efficiencies laid out in a National Procuremnt and Supply Chain Plan are delivered effectively through a distributed model that will continually identify opportunities for category management activities to add value. You will support the development and implementation of transparent procurement, driving cost and supply chain efficiencies for Te Whatu Ora.

**Mōu | About you**

You are an experienced procurement professional looking to move up to team management and wanting to take on a challenging portfolio of categories. You are comfortable in a changing environment dealing with a wide range of stakeholders.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- 5+ years of procurement experience in a large complex organisation
- Will be working within a Category Management structure in current role
- Must have run end-to-end category management processes
- Experience with total cost of ownership / whole of life costing model
- Significant commercial or procurement experience
- Proven negotiation and contract management experience
- Excellent coaching, leadership experience and development of high performing teams and individuals
