Due to growth, we are looking for a person to both build our client base and carry out commercial cleaning when needed. The mix or work will be 50/50 but with success, this will modify over time to be more sales focused. We pay above normal industry pay rates and provide 30+ hours per week.

This role would suit a successful sales person with experience in commercial cleaning. The person’s dedication to detail and trustworthiness must be unquestionable.

**Shift and schedule**: the person must be flexible to include weekends, day and night work - and public holidays where needed.

**Job description / Responsibilities**:

- execution of sales initiatives in our commercial cleaning business and in doing so, assist with strategic planning.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities.
- Drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing opportunities with new clients.
- Deliver compelling presentations and skills to senior executives and key decision-makers.
- Work autonomously but also needing to converse professionally with clients and their staff when needed. (Communication skills and presentation are therefore important.)
- Maintain a results-oriented approach.
- Perform cleaning duties to a consistently high standard - and to be able to assist others in maintaining these standards. This includes having the judgment to expand the scope of cleaning should obvious areas / items be needed.
- The role requires physical stamina for tasks such as standing, bending, and lifting so will assist the incumbent’s current fitness.
- Duties will include performing regular cleaning tasks, including sweeping, vacuuming and mopping hard floors and to maintain a clean and sanitary environment - especially in bathroom and kitchen areas.
- Adhere to our hygiene and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for ourselves and our clients.
- Be responsible to inspect and order replenishment of cleaning and hygiene supplies.
- Utilise excellent communication, problem-solving and attention to detail skills - to handle issues that arise on the job.
- Having a “can do” attitude that is customer focused in resolving customer issues.

**Requirements**:

- Have strong communication, presentation, relationship building and teamwork skills.
- Leadership qualities, capable of motivating and guiding cleaning team towards achieving ambitious goals.
- A strong and physically capable person
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle - as it will involve travel to various sites and times in the greater Christchurch area. (A kit of gear needs to be taken.)
- Be able to show pride in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Previous experience in supervisory or team leading in an organization with result-oriented mindset.
- Must have strong awareness of normal health & safety protocols in the workplace and be able to demonstrate this.
- Must remain drug free (and be able to pass tests in this regard) and be alcohol free.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Shift work
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- cleaning: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving licence (preferred)
