**Hours of Work**: Monday to Friday. 0830-1500

**Location**: Wintec Te Pukenga, Rotokauri Campus

**About the Centre**:
Te Kotahi Oranga is a brand-new Student-Assisted Centre based at Wintec, Rotokauri. The centre is founded on strong collaborative community partnerships and extensive research. It seeks to provide high quality, evidence-based healthcare using a low or no-cost model to a high health needs community. The focus of Te Kotahi Oranga centre is interprofessional practice, where students studying health and sport-related disciplines will undertake their placements and learn in a supervised working centre, attending to referrals received for members of the community.

**Services we offer**:

- Falls assessment and prevention
- Prediabetes assessment and intervention
- Community and individual health screening

**Duties of the Administrator/Receptionist include**:

- Receiving and booking referrals and follow-ups ensuring excellent and appropriate client/whānau interaction every step of the way
- Ensuring accurate record-keeping and diary management in the PMS
- Receiving and greeting all client/whānau and other visitors to the clinic
- Providing administrative support of varying nature to the Te Kotahi Oranga Team
- Serving as a communication liaison between the client/whānau and the staff and students
- Identify areas for continual quality improvement
- Assist with student orientation and placement experience

In addition to the above, the Administrator/Receptionist will work in partnership with the rest of the clinic team to contribute to the creation of a positive clinical, learning, and research environment, professional standards, high-quality research and community requirements.

A solutions-focused mindset will come naturally to you, and you will be comfortable working in a small team. You will be efficient, organised and able to multitask, and you will possess excellent communication and people skills in order to participate and contribute to a positive workplace and student learning culture.

Previous experience with patient management systems would great, but not essential.

This position is funded by an external community impact grant and is therefore fixed term, until December 2024.
