**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

This is a key role within the People & Performance team and provides dedicated support to an assigned portfolio across the generalist spectrum on people management and development practices.

As a values-driven and trusted partner you will work with leaders to implement people related strategies within your portfolio. Providing coaching and guidance to ensure that our leaders are equipped with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage people related matters.

As a true generalist scope, no two days are the same and the role provides variety, development, and challenge. You are supported by a close-knit Business Partnering and wider People & Performance team as we work together to create an environment where our people and teams are empowered to make AT a great place to work and serve Auckland.

As a trusted partner you'll need the ability to quickly engage and build effective relationships. Experienced in working in large and complex organisations with the focus of developing a high performing and inclusive culture. An inquisitive mind with a creative yet outcome focused approach to coaching and guiding leaders in people related matters.

To be successful in this role you will need
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management, or related field
- A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a generalist human resources role
- A strong ER background and good understanding employment law
- Previous experience in providing coaching and advice to people leaders
- The ability to understand business issues and demonstrate a business focus
