Kōrero mō te Tūranga - About the Role
The purpose of this position is to provide project planning expertise to support the execution and delivery of the Mail Pathway Project to meet NZ Post's Te Iho Programme schedule.
The project is within Biosecurity ad is highly complex, highly profiled and involves multiple joint agencies.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Coordinating project timelines with external stakeholders and maintain interdependency register with NZ Post, NZ Customs Service, and Rapiscan
- Preparation of monthly Executive presentations on project progress for Project Governance Board and Joint Parties Steering Committee.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining effective scheduling practices in MS Project and MS Azure Dev Ops
- Analyse critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend workarounds
- Identifying potential project schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timely manner

Mōu - About You
We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable project scheduler/planner who will have:

- A minimum of 5 years; experience in project scheduling roles
- Exceptional organisation skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in project management software tools and techniques (desirably a Prince2 or equivalent certification)
- Advanced skills in MS Project and MS Azure Dev Ops
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders - including joint operation parties
- Experience in developing executive level presentations
- The ability to develop an integrated plan for project work including business analysis, procurement, testing and commissioning, business change & transformation

The project team sits within Biosecurity including people from the PMO, technology, procurement and business operations who collectively work with joint agencies. Most of the team are based in Auckland at the MPI office near the Airport with a few based in Wellington.
