**Description**:
Our client is looking for a Payroll superstar to join their team in Auckland. You will get the opportunity to be an expert on Chris21 payroll system providing guidance and executing initiatives to enable best practice payroll processing.

This is a fixed-term contract (FTC) which will run till October 2024 and ideally looking for someone to start asap.

**What you will be doing**:
You will act as an interface between the NZ Payroll team part of the finance, strategy, and performance unit, and other business units and/or departments to deliver projects which enable operational efficiencies to payroll processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for standardising and improving NZ payroll operating practices across those business units supported by NZ payroll to be in line with best practices and promote best in class.

Other responsibilities include:

- Technical payroll systems expertise

- Continuous Improvement
- Change management
- Relationship/ stakeholder management
- Safety & Wellbeing Management

**What you will need**:

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Extensive and proven Chris21 technical experience or similar payroll system.
- Proven experience implementing standard system configuration.
- Experience in consolidation of databases, and data migration between systems.
- NZ Payroll experience.
- High level of analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, develop solutions to problems and make decisions.
- High level of attention to detail, produces high-quality work and has pride in output and presentation.
- Responds appropriately to different situations, people, and ideas and effectively copes with change.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining stakeholder and client relationships.
- Data analysis - must have proficiency with Microsoft Excel to an advanced level
