We have an opportunity for a Principal Payroll Analyst to join the People Operations team. In this role you will provide input into a number of tasks and projects relating to the People Operations team. You will also support the manager in developing best practices to ensure high quality and on-time deliverables. It is imperative that the Principal Payroll Analyst collaborates and respects the experiences of others to ensure SLAs are meet, fully documented and audited at all times.
You will bring your strong Payroll knowledge and have a collaborative approach with ability to work well within a busy team environment, sharing your knowledge and embracing new ideas and ways of doing things to enhance processes that impact the team. You will demonstrate your ability to effectively prioritise your workload, work to tight deadlines and maintain performance during pressure periods.

- Working under pressure - can produce results under significant pressure, staying calm and effective
- Priority setting - spends their time and the time of others on what’s important; quickly determines a key priority and eliminates roadblocks
- Attention to detail and sound numerical ability and accurate data entry skills
- Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a large, complex and diverse payroll with in-depth technical payroll knowledge and a proven track record of effectiveness.
- Experience in managing relationships and providing knowledge and interpretation as required on detailed payroll matters, including relevant legislation and contractual terms in a payroll
- Must have the legal right to live and work in Aotearoa
