We currently have a newly created role within our Financial Governance and Management Assurance team, where you will have the opportunity to work with senior leaders across the bank.

We spoke with our Head of Governance & Management Assurance, who let us know the following about the role:
**What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?**
- Meeting with Finance senior leaders to learn about critical data elements used in Finance reporting and decision making, assess risks with the critical data, and advising on a course of action to improve data management practice;
- Delivering on the Finance management assurance plan, which will include: assessing processes and adequacy of controls, assessing data risks (if any) associated with change initiatives underway;
- Supporting senior leaders to investigate the root cause of any data issues that may arise and recommending a course(s) of action;
- Representing Finance division in enterprise data governance forums and presenting on data risk management practice to senior leaders in Finance; and
- Running training sessions with staff on best practice for data management

In this role you will work with a very experienced and high performing team, allowing you to share knowledge, learn from others and continually grow and develop.

You will also be involved with an exciting and relatively new area of ESG that is of high interest and importance for the enterprise to get right.

Actively contributing to the successful delivery of our team assurance plan, and showing leadership for Risk Management, across the Bank. As well as, receiving positive feedback from stakeholders on the quality of findings/ learnings shared throughout the year.

**What attributes will this person have in order to be successful?**

We are looking for someone who is curious, and has strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate the root cause of any data items that may arise and recommend options or solutions.

Ideally, you will also be proactive and able to undertake work off your own initiative, as well as working collaboratively in a team. With excellent communication skills, you will enjoy engaging and developing relationships with stakeholders too.
