**Mō tēnei tūranga - about the role**
Working within the Equipment & Logistics Directorate, the Manager Asset Strategy & Data Assurance is responsible for leading a team to ensure Fire and Emergency's equipment assets are efficient, cost-effective and safe and align with agreed organisational outputs, goals and strategies.
Reporting to the Manager Equipment & Logistics Capability, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining asset management plans and capability management plans, operational equipment policy development and implementation, compliance monitoring, and assurance and information analytics to drive sound operational and business decisions. You will have four direct reports to mentor and lead as part of developing and implementing a centre of excellence for asset data, information and analysis across Fire and Emergency, supporting Fleet, Property and ICT directorates.

**To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will have**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or 15 years plus equivalent experience in asset management including budget development forecasting and and management
- Understanding of asset delivery timeframes, including experience of developing equipment management and procurement strategies, equipment delivery plans, ideally with experience of global supply and distribution chains
- An understanding of supplier and customer relationship management as they pertain to the ownership and operating of a wide variety of equipment assets
- Exceptional information management and analytics skills, ideally with experience using asset management information systems effectively and efficiently
- Clear planning skills and team management skills to manage and deliver challenging and changing workloads with competing priorities
- Ability to establish strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
