About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team at Mahi Haumaru as a Procurement Lead. This is a role where you will play a crucial part in shaping our procurement strategy and ensuring optimal use of resources.
This role will be suited for some passionate about building relationships, enhancing efficiency, and driving responsible procurement practices.

**In this role, you will**:

- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies
- Assist managers to evaluate and manager supplier performance through contractual agreements, quality standards and delivery schedules
- Ensure procurement activities adhere to legal and ethical standards
- Work across the organisation to align procurement activities with WorkSafe's strategy and ensure business group needs are met
- Oversee procurement budgeting and forecasting and monitor accordingly

**To be successful, you will bring**:

- Senior level experience within a procurement or commercial role within government
- Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- A positive, inclusive attitude to grow a thriving culture

Salary range
As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $123,774 to $163,698, and our expected starting base salary for the right person is from $137,082 to $141,740. Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional to/on top of your base salary.
