**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

The Parking Services Department of Auckland Transport are responsible for setting the strategy and management of Auckland's parking, covering on/off street parking activities and parking enforcement across the Auckland region. Technology systems play a critical role in delivering services to parking customers. Due to recent changes within the department, we have a new opportunity for a **Parking Systems Lead** to join our Parking Design and Solutions team.

This person will be responsible for all parking technology systems including payment app, e-permits, enforcement suites and solutions to customer accounts. On behalf of the Parking team responsible for identifying and managing parking systems improvements. They will also manage relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, create change management processes, and maintain deadlines and budget expectations.

The successful applicant will define project scope, goals and deliverables that support Auckland Transport business goals in collaboration with the wider parking services department, Business Technology group, programme managers and relevant stakeholders. Crucial to success in this role will be the ability to manage project expectations and resources in line with PMO guidelines and a proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional teams, third party contractors and consultants.

Other requirements include:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Analysis, IT or a related discipline
- Certified in either PMP, Prince 2 or equivalent industry recognised qualification OR 10 years proven documented project management experience
- Minimum of 8-10 years' experience in a technology based role
- Plus at least 5 years direct work experience in a project capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
- Experience in managing medium-large project teams, preferably in a political or highly complex organisation
- Good understanding of the parking or transport sector
- Strong familiarity with project management software; Database and operating systems
- Proven track record of effective qualitative and quantitative judgement and decision making
- In depth industry and or solutions experience at an operational/technical level
