We are seeking an industry experienced person for Holiday Park Manager of the Ōrewa Beach Holiday Park this is a full-time permanent position. The role is responsible for leading the team to ensure holiday park operations and growth as a commercial business to meet objectives, service delivery excellence and customer experience.

You will be key in managing the park operations and business, developing opportunities and business growth, leading and developing the team to deliver function specific duties, levels of service, offerings to ensure excellent customer experience and service. You will be responsible for health and safety, achieving industry standards, best practice, compliance, budget and occupancy targets or KPI’s, reporting and forecasting. You will be part of the overall holiday parks portfolio management lead team contributing to strategic and business planning, establishing, develop and maintain key stake holder, local and wider business, industry and community relationships and networks. You will be supported by internal Council teams or functions, overall portfolio management and the parks deputy manager.

You will be working 40 hours per week, rostered over 7 days.

The Park is open 7 days per-week year-round, therefore flexibility and commitment to working weekdays, weekends and rostered hours are paramount with the requirement to work or respond after-hours for park security, duty of care, and or emergency response. The role also assists in support across the portfolio of our other holiday parks as and when required.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

Naturally you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to a wide and diverse range of people at all levels. You will have the ability to cope with the unexpected, manage multiple tasks, prioritise as required whilst being customer centric, solution and performance focused. You’ll have a passion for motivating and developing your team, along with operational and facilities management.

You will be an established leader in facilities and service operations, health and safety, customer service to ensure the holiday park runs smoothly, provides a safe great enjoyable experience for our customers and team.

You'll need to ensure you're savvy with Microsoft Software such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams and with good data entry skills to ensure the administrative aspects of the role are delivered with quality. Previous experience in customer service / hospitality / tourism / holiday parks / accommodation, online booking platforms, property management booking systems, marketing including web, social media platforms and business-related environment is essential.

Knowledge and experience with SAP, project management, capital and operational work programmes would be advantageous.

To lead the team and manage the holiday park, we are looking for someone with:

- Proven industry and operational experience leading and managing holiday park/campground or holiday accommodation
- A tertiary qualification, degree or diploma in business management and/or hospitality / tourism industry, or the equivalent in experience.
- 5 plus years of management and business experience in a customer service / hospitality / tourism or small business-related environment.
- Strong sound financial management acumen
- Customer service and centric approach experience and skills.
- Committed to health and safety with knowledge of HSWA 2015.
- A current NZ Driver’s license Class 1
- Facilities and asset management proven experience and performance including engagement of contractors or trades
- Experienced or ability to be trained in operating vehicles, tools, and machinery (utility vehicles, tractor, ride on mower, tools, plant and software systems)
- Current First Aid Certificate and Construct Safe, or ability to obtain.
- High level of computer literacy with Microsoft Office suite and booking systems
- Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends, rostered shifts and additional for short notice cover as required.
