Are you passionate about social media and ready to make an impact? Te Wānanga o Aotearoa is seeking a dynamic Advisor Social Media to shape our online presence and engage with our community across digital platforms.

At Te Wānanga o Aotearoa (TWoA) we are committed to empowering our tauira (students) and kaimahi (employees), celebrating Māori culture and fostering a sense of belonging. As our Advisor Social Media, you’ll play a crucial role in amplifying our voice and connecting with our diverse audience.

**Key responsibilities**
- ** Voice of Te Wānanga o Aotearoa**:Craft compelling and authentic content that reflects our values, mission, and vision. Ensure a consistent tone across all digital channels.
- ** Social Media Strategy**:Develop, implement, and optimize social media campaigns. Monitor performance data and adjust strategies as needed.
- **Ads and Analytics**:Create, schedule, and monitor social media ads. Analyze campaign data at national, regional, and campus levels.
- **Brandwatch and Meta**: Leverage tools like Brandwatch and Meta to stay informed about trends, conversations, and sentiment related to our brand.
- ** Brand and Voice Guidelines**:Uphold our brand identity and voice guidelines. Maintain consistency in messaging.
- ** Relationship Building**:Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to foster positive relationships.

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelors Degree in Media, Marketing or Communications
- Full NZ Drivers License (Class 1)

**Experience**:

- 5+ years’ experience leveraging social media for business purposes in a complex context.
- 3+ years’ experience communicating with diverse audiences; using online channels and social media (eg. Websites, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc).
- 3+ years’ experience working with diverse stakeholders to deliver engaging activations.
- 3+ years’ experience in the tertiary education sector would be of advantage.

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
