**About the role**
As the Content & Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our content strategy and creative direction. Your responsibilities will encompass the development of content plans that align with our marketing and communication strategies, ensuring a cohesive and compelling narrative. Moreover, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality creative content utilized across audio, visual, digital, and social media channels. Additionally, you will support the development of media content for our teaching and learning resources, enriching the educational experience for our tauira.
Key deliverables of the role include:
- Support the Director, Communications & Marketing to provide leadership of the creative team.
- Foster a culture of creative excellence.
- Enable the creative team to produce outstanding creative work, while ensuring delivery to brief.
- Lead and develop high quality creative content in line with the TWoA brand guidelines and contemporary design standards.
- Act as principal creative liaison with agencies and third-party suppliers.
- Engage with external partners to support specialist knowledge and ongoing professional development.
- Where appropriate, lead briefings and oversee creative conceptualization, ideation and execution to ensure delivery.
- Deliver content on time and within allocated budget at all times.
**About you**
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in creative communications, business or design
- Actively engages in cultural activities and has an excellent understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga)
- Experience in leadership and management roles
- 5 years ’experience in Senior Creative role
- 5+ years’ experience working with Māori brands or within indigenous frameworks
- 5+ years’ experience as a Studio Manager or Associate Creative Director would be of advantage
Technical Skills:
- 3+ years’ experience across a range of creative disciplines (ie. digital, print, motion, production) would be of advantage.
- Leading teams to manage end-to-end brand campaigns with commercial outcomes.
- Advanced user knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced written and oral communication with strong influential and negotiations skills.
- Intermediate / Advanced level of technology proficiency
- Proven ability engaging and influencing multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- A full NZ Drivers License.
The ability or willingness to understand and converse in Te Reo Māori is preferred, but not essential. Equally, as is an understanding of Māori values, culture and tikanga Māori. Opportunities to further develop in this area are offered and encouraged.
