The purpose of this roles is to support the Client Director in delivery on the account, managing the capabilities and team to ensure on-time delivery and excellence in execution. This is a key role in driving collaboration internally and externally with the client and partners.

What your role and typical day might look like
A Senior Account Manager develops solutions for our clients and collaborating with people across the creative and wider dentsu Aotearoa community, including facilitating concept development, writing client proposals and presenting to clients with confidence. You’ll be tasked to develop and grow strong client relationships and lead campaign delivery to a high level. This includes Project Management across Sampling (45%), Activations (45%) and Influencer (10%) activity, integrating with the creative team on how to bring these activations to life, whist helping to upskill and mentor junior team members too.
Responsibilities could include
- Experience on proposal writing and presenting with confidence to clients, while navigating changing client needs and complexities that arise.
- Managing commercials, understanding commercial goals of the client and articulating back into value for the client and deliverables for the team.
- Managing financial targets and budgets, manage project finances and team performance.
- Continuously building on strong relationships with clients and supplies, which will include negotiating and uncovering new opportunities.
- Delivery focused and solutions orientated, priding yourself on ability to deliver campaign to a high standard end to end.
- Supporting and mentoring the juniors to work cohesively throughout the campaign planning, execution and post campaign analysis.
- Ability to motivate self and others, whilst working with a high degree of flexibly and ingenuity due to a constantly evolving nature of work.
A bit about you
- Previous experience working in a creative/advertising agency, ideally in a sampling and activations role, or events management background would be helpful.
- Ability to multitask effectively across different projects/clients, as you’ll be supporting a portfolio of clients in different industries.
- Proactive communication style, high attention to detail, and efficient time management skills. The nature of work is dynamic, so you’ll need to roll with the changes to get the best outcomes you can.
- Proven client relationship and project management skills across multiple accounts as an Account Manager. Ability to translate between clients and teams and deliver the ROI that meets or exceeds the clients expectations.
- Experience supporting junior team members, upskilling and mentoring their development.
- Results orientated, collaborative and self driven.
- A good understanding of Excel and Powerpoint, both are going to be key tools for your day to day.
