As our Senior Account Manager you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key customers, developing strong client relationships, and working with the customer to support their strategic objectives. As a primary relationship owner for some of our top tier clients you will endeavour to ensure that clients derive maximum value from our services, supporting our business aspirations for retention and growth. You will assist the GM Sales in growing Halls Group market share through the delivery of customer acquisition and client retention strategies and developing plans for delivering the best financial outcomes for the business. You will have a sound understanding of the New Zealand cold chain market and be able to identify and target business growth opportunities.
Working with key clients, this role is tasked with driving growth within our existing client base as well as identifying and securing new business. The Senior Account Manager will assist the team in the preparation of cost-effective transport and storage solutions to ensure operations are able to deliver customer requirements, and actively support the team in preparation of EOI and RFP responses for new and existing business.
**What would you be doing?**
- Manage multiple key accounts and develop positive working relationships
- Ensuring that all opportunities for appropriate and profitable growth are being considered and developed within both existing client base and new opportunities
- Assisting your colleagues in the Sales team with existing and new business opportunities as required.
- Participating in the annual sales budget review cycle and strategic planning activities and supporting the General Manager Sales and the wider Executive team
- Working collaboratively with Operational management to assist in improving service quality and company performance
- Building a strong understanding of transport companies operating in the chilled and frozen freight market.
- Preparing and producing reports within deadlines to the General Manager Sales
- Maintain customer data in the CRM system, and assist other Account Managers and customer service team members where required
**What you'll need to be brilliant**:
- Ideally a relevant Tertiary Qualification (e.g. Sales related; Finance) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of proven Sales experience within a FMCG environment, or an operations background where sales has played a key part of your role
- Working knowledge of logistics
- Demonstrable record in working with customers and gaining an understanding of their needs
- Understanding of financial and commercial implications for business success
- Proven administrative management

You will have a demonstrable track record of partnering strategically with your customers to grow market share, revenue, and profit.
