Mō tō mātou tira - About the team
The Information and Knowledge team are a stable but growing team, consisting of information management and data analyst practitioners. We collaborate to lead and develop information management best practice, and provide digital solutions to information management problems which support data driven decisions at the Office of the Ombudsman. We work closely with stakeholders to lead and support our information and data management centre of excellence. This information and data space at the Office is continuing to develop so there is the opportunity to grow alongside the team.
Mō te tūranga - About the role
To succeed in this role, you'll have a strong information and records management background, and be used to harnessing information systems to implement digital solutions to recordkeeping issues. Ideally, you'll have considerable experience with the OpenText suite of products, but other ECM, and BPM experience, such as SharePoint will be considered.
You'll be focussed on delivering records management solutions to customers, and working with a wide range of stakeholders to implement initiatives such as digital retention and disposal and workflow. As well as a customer-focussed mind-set, a strong understanding of information and records management theory and practice is vital.
You will have excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills for working with a variety of teams across the Office to understand their information needs. You'll lead and coordinate existing projects, and recommend new information solutions where appropriate. You must also be comfortable dealing with the day to day administration of the information systems.
He kōrero mōu - About you

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in information management, and/or the equivalent work experience.
- Three to five years' experience as an information practitioner and trusted advisor, leading delivery of information solutions, preferably within the NZ public sector.
- Significant administrative experience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and / or Business Process Management (BPM) solutions
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in usability and customer-focused design
- Passion for building great products to solve customer and business problems
- Previous experience of working with sensitive and personal information in an environment that requires high levels of confidentiality and security (including matters of national security); with good working knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice principles.

Depending on skills and experience the salary is expected to be between $61,734 to $84,885 with $77,168 being the mid-point.
