We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Advisor to support our Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and Digital Leadership Team. This pivotal role reports directly to the CDO, and provides expert advice, strategic insights, and leadership to drive delivery of the Ministry's Digital Strategy. The Chief Advisor will
- Provide operational and strategic recommendations based on experience, analysis and intellectual rigour.
- Identify global emerging trends and provide innovation and thought leadership within the digital field.
- Foster effective working relationships across the Ministry, other government agencies, the judiciary, iwi/Māori, and other key stakeholders.
- Provide quality assurance and professional guidance across the group, influencing the focus and priorities of the group.

**Ō** pūkenga/Skills and Experience**

You will bring senior management experience in large and complex organisations, including:

- Strategic management of operations, insourced and outsourced, to meet organisational goals
- Proven experience in a senior advisory or strategic role within the digital or technology sector
- Strong understanding of digital transformation and emerging technologies
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience in the public sector and understanding of the machinery of government
- Commitment to improving outcomes for the public and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Commitment to the principles of te Tiriti o Waitangi

**Utu ā-tau/**Salary**

The appointing salary for this role will be between $152,510 and $197,536 based on skills and experience.
