**Tēnei tūranga - About the Role**: This role will be reporting to the Manager Cyber Security, the Cyber Security Analyst supports the deliverables of the Cyber Security Architects by providing cyber security risk analysis, security operations input, and cyber security assurance across MBIE.

The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for maintenance and management of the security certification remediation register as well as supporting the reporting of cyber security risks and incidents as required.

- Knowledge and understanding of the NZISM and Protective Security Requirements
- The ability to clearly articulate risks and recommendations in both verbal & written formats
- A good understanding of networks, firewalls, proxies, SIEM, Endpoint controls, DLP concepts.
- Developed analytical and conceptual thinking ability
- A self-starter who is highly motivated to succeed
- A strong customer focus
- A proactive, can-do attitude
- Exceptional teamwork and collaborative abilities
- The ability to learn systems quickly
- Tertiary qualification in business, ICT or a related discipline
- CISSP, CCSP or studying towards these would be an advantage
